We currently have an opportunity for a Packaging Operator at our Portage la Prairie, MB location. This position is responsible for operating the packaging system to ensure finished products are packed, sealed, and prepared for shipping according to product specifications.Responsibilities:Operate packaging equipmentOperate forkliftPerform minor repairs and troubleshooting activities on packaging equipmentPerform cleaning duties as assigned to meet standards in all areas of the warehouse and groundsAccurately complete documentation for all processesPerform quality and food safety checks of finished goods and equipmentOperates in accordance with all food safety, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practicesPerform other duties as requiredQualifications:Grade 12 or equivalentMust be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekendsComputer knowledge an assetExperience operating mobile equipment considered an assetPhysically capable of lifting up to 50lbsMust be able to work well as part of a teamSolid oral and written communication skillsRichardson International provides an excellent compensation package consisting of competitive salary, pension, a flexible benefits plan and training and career development opportunities.Interested candidates should click the Apply icon to apply online by November 7, 2024.Richardson International values diversity in the workplace.
