As our newest Optical Associate you’ll often be the first point of contact with the public, so you must bring with you your passion for people and your drive to deliver an exceptional customer experience. With your help, we’ll continue to have a positive impact on our current patients’ health and well-being, as well as the patients we haven’t yet met.This position is a [full-time/part-time], [permanent/temporary] role working up to XX hours per week from Monday to XX.What Will You Be Doing?Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and qualityInforming patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions as well as assisting with the selection of frames to suit your client’s aesthetic and performance needsInterpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometristPerforming frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of new eyewear and performing repairs and adjustments to returning patients’Placing Contact Lens orders and assisting with fittingsCommunicating with patients in person, by phone, and by emailBilling the patient, their medical service provider and other third partiesManaging appointment bookings, prescription printouts and billing and paymentsWarmly greeting patients as they enter our clinicUpholding excellent customer service standards using your charisma and problem-solving skillsWhat Do You Bring?Previous experience in a customer-facing, preferably retail environment preferredPrevious optical experience is considered an assetPassionate about customer serviceA high level of comfort using technology and computersA great communicator who can provide exceptional patient careAble to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWe appreciate your interest in FYidoctors and hope it didn’t take too much time to apply.
