Job Description: A loving, experienced and organized Nanny is needed for a family with an almost two year old and a baby born In August. The family just moved to Toronto from Sweden. We are looking for an experienced nanny who can help this busy household with all things childcare related, picking the toddler up from preschool, caring for the infant, helping out with light household duties such as laundry, meal prep and keeping the home organized and tidy (the family has a cleaner come, so no deep cleaning is required) We are looking for someone who has experience with newborns as well as toddlers. The mom will be on maternity leave, so someone who has experience working along side the parents is an asset. Location: Lawrence and Yonge street Child’s age: 22 months and a baby born in August 2024 Start Date: As soon as the right fit is found Contract length: 1 year to start Schedule: Monday to Friday 12:00-6:00pm Hourly Rate: $28-$35/hour gross Responsibilities Provide attentive and responsible care for children in a safe and nurturing environment. Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as imaginary play, games, crafts, and educational play. Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, ensuring they receive proper nutrition. Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as, laundry, tidying up after meals, loading and unloading the dishwasher and cleaning up play areas, bedroom etc. Changing the bed sheets, stocking the nursery with diapers/wipes, assisting with family meal prep as needed, cleaning and sterilizing bottles and infant items Conduct the children’s daily schedule include nap routines Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding the child’s daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise. Requirements/Qualifications 5+ years of Nanny experience in a private home 5+ years of experience working with children ages newborn to 3 years of age Ability to provide a safe and secure environment for children. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents Strong organizational skills to manage daily routines and schedules. Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude when engaging with children. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
