Job Description: An engaging, organized and loving nanny/house manager is needed for a sweet 1 year old girl in the College/Bathurst area of Toronto. This family is looking for an experienced nanny who can manage all things childcare such as taking the child to local programs, facilitating nap time routines, cooking meals for the child and keeping the child’s nursery fully stocked and organized. A candidate with a background in ECE is preferred. The family is looking for someone who jump between childcare and house management duties. We would love to find someone interested in travelling with the family internationally a few times a year. Responsibilities Childcare – 40-50% Planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities with child (e.g. going to Early ON Centres, parks, library doing crafts etc.) Maintaining child’s hygiene (e.g. changing diapers, clipping nails, bath before bed) Maintaining child’s safety Regular communication with parents House Management – 25-30% Purchasing groceries related to child’s/ family needs (e.g. supplies to make lunches, new diapers, pet food) Running basic errands Housekeeping – 25-30% Preparing and serving nutritious meals for child, some dinner prep for family Cleaning up after the child (e.g. putting toys away, cleaning up high chair, cleaning up the kitchen) Light housekeeping (e.g. vacuuming the main floor) Laundry Watering indoor plants Caring for the family cat (e.g. feeding, litter box) and walking the dog Note: no cleaning of bathrooms required. Location: College and Bathurst Child’s age: 1 year old in December 2024 Start Date: Part-time from Oct-November is ideal. The family is away for December and then full-time starts in January 2025. Contract length: 8 months- January 2025-August 2025 with potential for extending Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 11:00am-5:30pm, Thursday 11am-8pm (at the latest), Friday 11:00am-5:30pm Hourly Rate: $28-$33/hour gross Responsibilities Provide attentive and responsible care for child in a safe and nurturing environment. Engage child in age-appropriate activities, such as imaginary play, games, crafts, and educational play. Prepare and serve meals and snacks for child, ensuring they receive proper nutrition. Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the child’s care, such as, laundry, tidying up after meals, loading and unloading the dishwasher and cleaning up play areas, bedroom etc. Conduct the child’s daily schedule include nap routines Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding the child’s daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise. Requirements/Qualifications 5+ years of Nanny experience in a private home 5+ years of experience working with children Ability to provide a safe and secure environment for children ECE background an asset French speaking an asset Ability to travel without restrictions (a valid passport) Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents Strong organizational skills to manage daily routines and schedules. Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude when engaging with children. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
