  • Schedule : Thursday, Friday and Saturday (DAY)
  • Dates : From now
  • Salary : $25.83 (Class 5)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install and maintain museum equipment (e.g. interactive, objects, display cases, etc.) for educational and cultural exhibits and products
  • Design and build exhibit elements
  • Ensure the security of museum facilities
  • Maintain and update documents related to the installation and operation of equipment
  • Participate in the follow-up with suppliers for service calls
  • Carry out various technical tasks related to the conservation, preservation, maintenance and cleaning of objects and interactives
  • Prepare the packaging and ensure the security of the objects for transport or relocation
  • Participate in the verification of internal clients’ satisfaction with products and services and recommend corrective measures.

KNOWLEDGE

  • College diploma in museology completed or in progress (experience not required) OR DEC/Bachelor’s degree in art or other relevant discipline with 1 year of experience in installation of exhibitions, sets or events.
  • Bilingualism: English (intermediate, level 2)
  • Valid driver’s license.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency with manual tools of the trades related to exhibits (woodworking, mechanics, electronics).
