Job Description: Job Description :Our client in the manufacturing space is looking for a millwright to join the team at their facility in the Greater Vancouver area.The ideal candidate will be very mechanically inclined and solution-focused. Identifying root causes and efficiently determining the best course of action to fix issues in accordance with plant guidelines.You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing various mechanical plant equipment and machinery including pumps, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and various other production machinery.You will also be monitoring various process equipment as well as testing and adjusting it to meet performance requirements.You will be safety-minded, be a positive team player and make sure all documentation and paperwork is completed in a timely manner.Your schedule will be Monday through Friday/day shift. Overtime is available.You will also on occasion be required to be on-call for emergencies on a rotating basis with your team members.Compensation is $45-$50 per hour based on your certifications (trade ticket) and experience.Excellent benefits and career advancement opportunities are available.Required Qualifications :-Red seal millwright (preferred) – may consider a 4th year apprentice-Minimum 3-5 years experience working in a manufacturing facility-Experience working with hand tools and power tools-Comfortable working in an outdoor environment in the elements-Welding experience an asset-Must be able to read and understand blueprints, drawings and specifications-Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record-Confined space certification an asset-Working at heights certification an asset-Must be physically capable to lift 50lbs and be on your feet-Must be authorized to work in Canada for any employer
