– Annual boot allowanceResponsibilities
Perform a variety of maintenance duties: installation, troubleshooting, and repair of production and facility equipment.
– Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
– Collaborate with contractors and operations employees on facility maintenance.
– Follow preventative and corrective maintenance schedules, striving for process improvement.
– Perform inspections and evaluations of building components.
– Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace, adhering to GMPs and safety regulations.
– Operate forklifts (training provided) and use manlifts.
– Assist in warehouse duties as needed (forklift operation, cleaning).
– Assist with set-up of equipment and areas for next day’s production.Qualifications
Post-secondary education, certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
3-5 years’ experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing.
– Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and food manufacturing processes (assets).
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
– Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various environments (hot/cold).
– Legal authorization to work in Canada.
– Able to easily understand and follow written and/or oral instructions.
– Ability to appreciate, and wear appropriate PPE for required tasks.
– Able to manage time effectively, self-motivated working alone or as part of a team.
– Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and keen attention to detail.Summary
