We provide engineering services in the building industry including transportation facilities, mission critical (data centers), municipal, commercial, and industrial sectors. We are team oriented and have an extensive and growing client base. We are appreciative of candidates with a willingness to learn and take on added responsibility.Primary Responsibilities
- Detailed mechanical design and specification writing
- Working with engineers to ensure that all aspects of the design are coordinated with other disciplines
- Working independently within a team, managing projects from initial engineering design through to construction completion
- Design calculations under the supervision of a Senior Engineer
- Implementing redline markups from engineers
- Successfully shepherding projects to completion with internal staff and other external project team members including building owners, architects, engineers, building officials, and contractors
- Occasional site visits to survey existing conditions and to document ongoing construction
- Report writing and budget costing
- Tender and construction administration
Qualifications
- 5+ years full-time design experience as an Engineer or EIT – mechanical preferred
- Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings with minimal supervision
- Experience in schematic design and equipment selections, modeling and drafting of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, building plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and HVAC control systems
- Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards
- A great sense of autonomy
- Proficiency using latest versions of Revit and AutoCAD
- A valid BC drivers license
The expected salary for this position is from $75,000 to $105,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity.
