We give our employees ample opportunity to pursue their interests and passions and support them as their careers progress.Black Diamond Group’s Corporate IT Projects department has a full-time position for Manager, IT Business Relationships.This role is hybrid – in-office with 20% flexibility to work from homeReporting to the VP, Information Technology, the Manager, IT Business Relationships’ primary role is to act as a consultative liaison between IT and the business, building strong relationships to ensure the design, implementation, and utilization of IT assets align with business needs and company standards, while maximizing the overall value of the investments. The role will complete business analysis and manage projects to execute IT strategy, enabling the overall business strategy. The role also involves leading structured change management efforts to ensure that transitions in people, processes, and technology are effectively managed and reinforced.Responsibilities

  • Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, establishing strong relationship with the business and (internal/external) customers by understanding their processes, ultimately reducing business and IT barriers
  • Provide vision and innovation for business process improvement, governance and strategy aligning with overall corporate vision
  • Lead change management initiatives by focusing on preparing, managing, and reinforcing change, ensuring that employees are supported throughout transitions.
  • Assist with the definition and introduction of standards, procedures and policies for processes
  • Able to analyze, model, monitor, and measure business processes and recommend changes
  • Manage the continuous operational support for business process improvements in line with the strategic goals of the organization
  • Responsible for data gathering and analytics within the process framework of the organization and support applying such data towards the success of the company.
  • Manage training programs, educating Business users that are responsible for the operation and management of various business processes.
  • Utilize proper project management methodologies to deploy business application/systems, enhancements and processes which includes proper documentation and communication to all stakeholders.
  • Escalate issues and identify opportunities in a timely, effective manner to the IT General Manager
  • Participate in strategic and budgetary planning processes, prepare and administer work unit operating budgets; provide recommendations on desired policies and goals and implement new/revised programs according to established guidelines.
  • Other tasks which involve deep applications and business process knowledge as directed by the VP, Information Technology.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in IT/Business relationship with strong interpersonal skills
  • Computer Science or related diploma/degree required
  • PMP or relevant certification, SalesForce.com experience and ERP implementation would be considered an asset
  • Prosci Change Management certification and experience with the ADKAR Model are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand and improve internal business processes and dependencies
  • Excellent communication and change management skills, with experience implementing change using the ADKAR Model.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem solving
  • Ability to interact well with technical teams, business owners and management at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrates exceptional collaboration, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
