This role works within a highly professional and strategically focused business partnering team reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Performance & Finance Business Partnering.Does this sound like your next role? Read on!What you’ll do:Report/prepare on financial performance for senior leadership reviewsEvaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecastsProvide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimizationLead the monthly performance review discussions with Commercial SLT.Analyze financial data and build financial models for decision supportData mining/ stitching to help deep dive and tell the financial storyPerform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reportingRecommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materialsIdentify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboardsBoost efficiency by creating automated reporting/forecasting toolsMaintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and modelsWork with key collaborators across the organization (Pricing, Reserving, Underwriting & Claims etc.)Ad Hoc projects/analysisProficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely useful (Access, SQL, Business Objects)What you’ll bring:3-5 years post-qualification financial analysis experience.This position demands a high level of independence, visibility, and communication. Therefore, effective communication skills are needed.Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a structured and controlled frameworkDemonstrable understanding and strategic perspective on the insurance industrySound understanding of financial, strategic and performance management processesProven track record of working in a fast paced environment.A degree or equivalent experience in Business (Finance, Economics, Accounting & Finance)CPA or considering pursuing a CPA.What you’ll get:The salary band for this position ranges from $79,500 to $147,700.
