This position is critical to the strategic and operational success of our division.Manager, Division OperationsRole Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM), the Manager, Division Operations provides leadership for the division’s business planning, budgeting, and administrative functions.Key Responsibilities
- Operational and Business Management: Lead the division’s budgeting and business planning processes, oversee the Centralized Administrative Service (CAS), and manage FOIP requests.
- ADM Support: Provide operational support and recommendations, coordinate implementation of ADM decisions, and assist in developing the division’s operations plans.
- Executive Director/Branch Support: Facilitate actions and resolutions, coordinate human resource management, and review division processes for improvements.
- Communications Management: Facilitate and review the flow of information within the division, oversee Action Requests (ARs), and ensure timely responses.
- Leadership and Employee Development: Supervise ADMO executive support staff and support their professional development.

Drive for Results: This role must leverage the expertise of executive managers across the division and advise the ADM on how the division is meeting its strategic direction. While this role is not directly responsible for policy files, it is responsible for advising the ADM on progress in meeting the division mandate and expectations of relevant stakeholders.QualificationsUniversity degree, preferably in Business, Management, or Public administration plus minimum of 4 years of related experience.The following would be considered an asset:
- Strong political acumen and a thorough understanding of government decision-making processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage complex projects and initiatives in a constrained environment.

Employees working from home must be working from an Alberta location.This position will be located in the Terrace Building in Edmonton.Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary.
