Job OverviewReporting to the Executive Chef, this person will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction goals by preparing food as per the specifications, setting up stations for menu and assisting Executive Chef with daily tasks.Specific duties would include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare food for service and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
- Responsible for opening and/or closing of the kitchen.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Stock inventory appropriately.
Job Qualifications
- Post-secondary Hospitality Degree or Equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years previous work experience in a similar work environment.
- Food Handler Certification Required.
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- Ability to work early shifts, be flexible and handles stress.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Sanitation Standards.
- Excellent communication skills (speak, read and write).
