Location: Downtown Toronto (hybrid 3 days a week)

Job Type: PermanentOur client, a prominent law firm located in the heart of Toronto’s financial district, is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support two Partners in their Litigation group. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values high-quality client service.This position requires experience in Commercial and Construction Litigation, and at least 5+ years of experience in litigation law with a strong ability to handle a high volume of work.Key Responsibilities:– Assist in preparing and completing litigation documents, including pleadings, affidavits, court orders, and mediation briefs.
– Manage administrative tasks related to accounting, file management (open and closing files), docketing, and billing.
– Communicate professionally with internal and external clients.
– Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail, especially with voluminous documents and urgent deadlines.Qualifications:– At least five years’ experience in litigation law.
– Completion of a legal assistant or law clerk course.
– Experience with Caselines, Kofax, and Adobe.
– Familiarity with the Commercial List Court and construction lien matters under the Construction Act is a plus.
– Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
