Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.During your internship you will join a dynamic team, working alongside highly trained professional analysts and portfolio managers. We are looking for someone with a related area of study (finance, portfolio management, sustainability, or accounting). Successful candidates will have a demonstrated passion for sustainable investing.In this role, you will:Work with ESG Research Analysts and Associates performing ESG analysis and ad-hoc projects. Projects may include climate and/or diversity, equity & inclusion research, data organization, research on emerging ESG topics/trends, and research to support internal presentations.Understand how JFL’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with the firm’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:Enrolled in post-secondary education or in post-graduate education (i.e. master’s degree) with a focus in sustainability, sustainable development, business administration, finance, economics or another related fieldTop grades and standing GPA are considered an assetPassion for ESG and sustainable investingStrong analytical skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalComfortable working with Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to work well in a team environmentOrganized, with attention to detailHow do I apply?For students applying to our internship/co-op or new graduate programs, we do not require resumes!
