The IT Support Technician is a critical role responsible for providing frontline support through our Jira Help Desk, managing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. This position involves handling calls, managing ticket queues, direct user support, hardware procurement, and contributing to IT projects and strategic initiatives.What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary contact for IT support, offering timely and empathetic assistance to internal users. Manage and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 issues, escalating complex cases as necessary.
- Information Resources: Efficiently utilize Jira Help Desk for ticket management, ensuring accurate tracking and timely resolution of IT issues.
- Material Resources: Oversee the procurement, inventory, and deployment of IT hardware and software, ensuring resources align with organizational needs.
- People Policies and Practices: Participate in the mentoring and guidance of staff, on how to resolve issues, fostering collaborative and knowledgeable staff teams.
- Ensure that anti-racism, anti-oppression principles are embedded in the delivery of service
- Engage in IT projects, assisting with planning and implementation to enhance IT infrastructure and services, in line with the organization’s operating plan
- Stay abreast of technology trends and advancements to recommend improvements and innovations.
What You Bring:
Must Haves
- College diploma in Computer Systems Technology, or a related field; undergraduate degree preferred.
- Certifications such as A+, Network+, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, including significant experience with help desk operations and technical troubleshooting.

- O365 Account creation and administration
- Intune Device Enrollment
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in using IT support and management tools, including Jira.
Work Environment:
This role operates in an office setting but may require occasional visits to other locations for hardware setup or troubleshooting. Physical requirements include handling of IT equipment and peripherals.What We Offer
