Title of the Job: Intern Designer – Prototyping Hardware/Firmware

Location: Ottawa, ON

Job Description: Our team has an immediate Intern opening for a Designer.Responsibilities:

• Support our team member in lab testing and design verifications
• Help in verification of FPGA design and testing automation MATLAB API design for testing FPGA using microcontroller/PC
• Provide weekly reports on activities involving data collection, lab testing and test documentations

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Enrolled in a university co-op program in a relevant field: Software Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or related area
• Excellent knowledge C/C++ programming in microcontroller like STM32, Raspberry Pi or Arduino
• Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C protocols in embedded system like STM32, RPi, etc
• Knowledge of using mixed-signal scope, logic analyzer, multi-meter, etc
• Experience in UC-Coding, testing and debugging in an embedded system
• Knowledge of using RF equipment like spectrum analyzer, signal generator would be considered as an asset
• Knowledge of using Matlab or similar tool would be an asset
