If these values resonate deeply with you, we encourage you to read on!The Role:The Estimator & Proposal Coordinator plays a key role in the creation and delivery of estimates and project proposals to obtain new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is thorough, analytical, and a competent writer, with a strong technical background. This is an intermediate role, with at least 4 years of directly relevant Engineering or Energy Sector experience required.It is imperative that the coordinator is professional, well-organized, and reliable, with a high degree of discretion when dealing with confidential business matters. With a tenacious, innovative, and results-driven nature, they will work to fulfill the Catch Engineering Vision: “To be the most sought-after engineering firm in the world.”Areas of Accountability:The Estimator & Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for:1. Estimate DevelopmentPreparing multi-discipline estimates, including but not limited to, electrical, automation, instrumentation and controls, mechanical, and process engineering.Developing cost estimates in consultation with technical staff, using Catch forms and procedures, ensuring that all labour, equipment, and material costs are accurate and current.2. Proposal DevelopmentEvaluating proposal specifications and scope.Communicating with Project Managers, Engineers, and other technical staff to clarify, understand and validate the project scope, risks, deliverables, assumptions, exceptions and exclusions.Writing proposal documents and supporting materials that are clear, concise, and in compliance with client specifications.Updating CRM with proposal details and status changes, to improve data collection on win / loss metrics.Organizing meetings and maintaining documentation of said meetings.Qualification Requirements:Along with an enthusiastic and professional attitude, you must also have:A related post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate4+ years of experience in technical estimate and proposal development, with thorough knowledge of estimating processes and industry standards.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and ExcelFamiliarity with CRM and MS ProjectAdvanced technical writing skillsProven skills in handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and managing competing prioritiesAbility to foster professional relationships with people from a variety of technical backgrounds and skill setsCompensation and Benefits:Hybrid with office located in downtown Calgary, AB (must follow Remote Work Policy)Inclusion in Discretionary Bonus ProgramFull Benefits package with RRSP matchingGenerous Vacation policySequentialHR + Recruiting is a boutique recruitment firm with a national presence.
