Do you have a knack for coordination? The Intergovernmental Priorities Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Facilitating and coordinating the timely sharing of Federal, Provincial and Territorial (FPT) information across the department to ensure effective departmental participation in intergovernmental forums and relationships.
  • Building positive relationships with key FPT contacts both departmentally and across Canada.
  • Maximizing the impact and presence of Alberta on the national FPT stage.
  • Briefing management on emerging and continuing FPT issues.
  • Increasing internal staff knowledge and capacity on intergovernmental relations.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

  • University graduation in sociology, political science, human ecology, public administration, criminal justice, or a related field
  • PLUS minimum of 4 years in a similar role

Equivalencies will be considered based on one-year experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.The following knowledge or experiences are considered assets:

  • Experience in collaborating with federal, provincial, and territorial (FPT) working groups.
  • Experience preparing and coordinating excellent policy documents, reports, briefing notes, and/or presentations providing recommendations within a tight timeline.
  • Experience operating in a highly political and technical environment with knowledge of the government policy cycle and approval process.

  • Monday to Friday (8:15 am to 4:30 pm)
