Job Description: Job Description:We are offering an Infrastructure and Operations Leader role based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the IT industry where you will be in charge of guiding the day-to-day operations of the IT Infrastructure and Operations team.Responsibilities:

• Guide and support the IT Infrastructure and Operations team in their daily operations.

• Design, implement, and maintain IT Infrastructure solutions, including servers, network, and cloud services.

• Ensure the network and infrastructure solutions meet the company’s internal business needs and maintain a high level of security.

• Conduct presentations to IT management and the IT Steering Committee.

• Develop and maintain a regular cadence on disaster recovery, backups, and business continuity planning.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and fulfill technology requirements.

• Monitor, optimize, and report on system performance, reliability, and resiliency through regular assessments and upgrades.

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure roadmaps.

• Draft RFP’s and RFQ’s for College procurement approval.

• Negotiate, maintain, and monitor service level agreements with vendors.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Information Technology.

Requirements:

• Applicant must have at least 7 years of experience in an Infrastructure and Operations role or a similar position.
• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is essential.
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies is required.
• Candidate should have experience with Active Directory.
• Knowledge and experience in Infrastructure Services is expected.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is a must.
• Experience with VMware is crucial.
• Network Administration skills are required.
• System Administration knowledge and experience is needed.
