As a member of this team, the successful candidate will participate in all stages of the product lifecycle, from technical feasibility, hardware design, transfer to manufacturing and product sustainment.Detailed Description:
- Debug electrical issues at all stages of design, development and manufacturing, including EMC / EMI
- Interface with manufacturing to help reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues on new and established products
- Participate in the selection, specification and procurement of equipment for all aspects of design, measurement, testing and validation
- Circuit design, schematic entry, printed circuit board layout, prototype testing, and manufacturing support
- Integrate and test software and hardware components for the purposes of product development, modification, or improvement
- Perform testing and modifications to validate regulatory compliance certification
- Contribute to the development of the company’s strategy, intellectual property, quality and continuous improvement efforts
- Write and edit technical reports, proposals, presentations, and other materials
Requirements:
- Electrical engineering degree/diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a Hardware Engineer or relevant field
- Demonstrated experience working with complex electronic designs
- Strong understanding of mixed-signal design, and signal integrity principles
- Experience with board-level testing/troubleshooting techniques, and EMI mitigation
- Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience working with test and measurement equipment
- Understanding of SMT assembly process, and strong rework and hand-soldering skills
- Experience with design simulation, test automation, analysis, and CAD tools
- Strong knowledge and understanding of full product cycle from design to manufacturing
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Focused, detail oriented, and able to work independently
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of high-speed interfaces, like 10GE, USB3.1 or similar
- Direct experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment
