A banquet server delivers food and drinks to guests at large events, parties, and weddings. The responsibilities of this position include serving food, helping set up and break down the event, all while providing excellent customer service to guests.
Essential Job Functions:Greeting guests and providing service of food & beverage to guests.
Providing superior guest satisfaction on a highly consistent basis.
Ensuring quality control of product provided.
Monitoring food & drink levels to ensure customer satisfaction.
Liaising with the kitchen and bartender to control proper timing of service.
Ordering of all relevant supplies from the storeroom.
Ensuring proper cash-out procedures.
Maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
Managing internal and external customer feedback.
Other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications and AbilitiesExperience serving in a catering/banquet type environment.
Food Safe certificate preferred.
Serving It Right Certificate is required (can be completed before first shift).
Excellent customer service skills, organizational and communication skills.
Personable, friendly and outgoing.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
High energy and strong work ethic.
Some evening shifts end after transit has stopped so vehicle is preferred.Working ConditionsBanquet Servers need to be flexible in their working hours as most events and functions occur on evenings and weekends. They should be expected to work between eight to 12 hours a shift. They may be expected to arrive early in the day to take care of set up and leave late in the evening after cleaning is complete.
