Internal advancement is commonplace, and we are always supported in our career journey.About the RoleJoin our dynamic team as a Gasfitter (Operator), where you’ll be instrumental in installing, inspecting, adjusting, and servicing various natural gas equipment. This role requires adherence to safety, reliability, and efficiency standards as per company and regulatory codes.What You Get to Do:

• Lead and execute the installation, inspection, and maintenance of natural gas equipment and systems.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of others, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Respond to emergencies, ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
• Liaise with customers, contractors, and external representatives to resolve inquiries and coordinate gas line and meter requirements.
• Conduct investigations and complete reports on emergency actions and property damage.
• Promote safety culture and perform safety inspections.
• Manage materials and supplies inventory.
• Conduct quality assurance and inspections on service-related work.
• Provide on-the-job and formal technical training to others.
• Inspect vehicles and specialized equipment to ensure adequate maintenance.

What You Bring:

• Grade 12 or G.E.D.
• Class A Alberta Gasfitter Ticket
• Class B Alberta Gasfitter Ticket will also be considered
• Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License
• Proven experience in planning and directing activities of employees.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and natural gas industry codes.
• Ability to interpret plans, working drawings and material specification
• Willingness to be on stand-by for emergencies and participate in shift schedules.
• Related experience in the upstream gas utility system, meter reading and AMR devices is an asset.

Location Requirements:

• Residency within the Whitecourt service territory, within 30 minutes of the Whitecourt office (4213 42 Ave, Whitecourt, AB)
