• Identify and isolate problems with existing hardware/firmware
• Develop novel solutions to identified problems
• Clearly communicate findings
• Assist in the development of automated firmware/hardware validation and testing
• Provide hardware/firmware support and design input as required to Cloud/UI Designers and others
• Provide support for Data Science team in the effective and accurate collection of data from Enlighted’s systems
• Identify opportunities for system improvements that can enhance the operation of the entire end-to-end system
• Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team spanning hardware, software, cloud development and product management.

What will you need to succeed? | Required Skills:

• Ability to develop unique solutions as required
• Strong C programming experience
• Familiarity with embedded development tools
• Experience with Linux, embedded Linux
• Understanding of embedded systems, firmware, microprocessors, SOC’s
• Ability to work with embedded protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and the devices that utilize them
• Ability to effectively identify and isolate problems
• Ability to learn and adapt to new situations

Nice to have:(These aren’t essential, and there would be an opportunity to learn and develop these skills during the term.)

• Fundamental understanding of digital and analog electronics
• Ability to interpret and understand electronic specifications and datasheets
• Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams
• Ability to use and interpret electronic lab test equipment
