Job Description: Our client, a leading food company, is seeking an Electrician to join their team. As an Electrician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Production Team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, good knowledge of electronics and PLC technologies, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: ElectricianLocation: Etobicoke, ONPay Range: $41 per hour + shift premiumsWhat’s the Job?

• Perform all repairs, develop and carry out preventative maintenance inspections, and follow preventative maintenance schedule to sustain optimal performance of equipment and minimize downtime and costs in compliance with HACCP rules, JSA’s and SOP’s and other requirements.
• Troubleshoot production line machinery, identify spare parts required, and order parts.
• Responsible for troubleshooting of machinery to minimize downtime; acts upon an intense sense of urgency to on-floor calls and emergencies.
• Complete a work schedule in cooperation with departments and Maintenance & Production Supervisors.
• Ensure that all required documentation is completed correctly and on-time. i.e. Daily Time Sheets, pre-operational forms, preventative maintenance logs, temperature recording and equipment monitoring, work orders, etc.

What’s Needed?

• Electrician License is required (309A or 442A).
• 5 years’ experience in food packaging equipment and industrial maintenance experience.
• Good knowledge of electronics and PLC technologies and trouble shooting skills.
• Understands programmable controls and is computer literate.
• Additional Skilled Trade Licenses would be an asset.
