As an Electrical Revit Technologist, you will utilize your proficiency in Revit and BIM processes to assist in the design and coordination of electrical systems for various projects. You will work closely with senior electrical engineers and project teams to ensure that all designs are seamlessly integrated into multi-disciplinary workflows, ensuring high-performance results and adherence to industry standards.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and modify detailed Revit models for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, life safety, and communication systems for residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
  • Coordinate electrical design with in-house teams, construction managers, and external consultants using Revit and BIM platforms.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with local electrical codes (e.g., Canadian Electrical Code) and relevant building codes (BCBC, NBC) to achieve sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to integrate electrical systems with architectural and structural models, ensuring accurate and efficient design coordination.
  • Participate in site inspections and assist in providing technical support during the construction phase to ensure systems are installed as per design specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive electrical design documentation, including drawings, schedules, and technical reports.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing on-site technical challenges, coordinating with project teams to implement solutions effectively.
  • Review and provide feedback on contractor submittals, RFIs, and other technical documentation related to electrical systems.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electrical design and Revit/BIM processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Revit Technologist in the electrical engineering field
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM software for electrical design and coordination is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, BC Building Code, and other relevant regulations.
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects, coordinating electrical systems with architectural and structural designs.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to work with project teams and clients.
