Title of the Job: eCommerce Business Manager (Hybrid)

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description: The E-Commerce Business Manager (Retail.com, DTC) will be critical in Spinrite’s efforts to accelerate our e-commerce growth rapidly. This role will be responsible for current the largest portion of Spinrite’s eCommerce sales for the company, managing everything outside of Amazon. This role is responsible for delivering Net Sales and Gross Profit targets for its specific channels. This includes but is not limited to all online retailer accounts and Spinrite Direct to Consumer Website. This individual will manage a multi-functional team with a broad range of responsibilities to excel in eCommerce in e-commerce sales.

  • Set the channel strategy, diving into date to determine where to focus and distribute our products, how to win at those channels, and what capabilities are required for success.
  • Own the 4Ps of online sales at each channel, including setting and managing portfolio, pricing, promotions, and search placement. Determine what products get sold at what prices (including shipping), at what channel, and under what promotion that maximizes sales, profitability, and consumer preferences.
  • Develop business by expanding to new websites and platforms, seeking out new websites where consumers are shopping, and managing the technical integration and ‘Go to Market’ plan for each channel (integration, Products, pricing, and profitability after shipping and fees).
  • Lead a diverse team of coordinators and specialists and influence internal stakeholders (Marketing, Operations, Sales, Finance) to ensure the fundamentals were reported and executed to achieve maximum sales.
  • Manage the relationship with external customers (Retailer category and website managers), partnering for launch success and consulting on category growth initiatives that would grow Spinrite categories at the retailer while gaining market share for Spinrite.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Management

  • Launch products across all channels, gaining all assets in time for crucial launch dates.
  • Direct to Consumer & New Platforms

o Own the product launch, portfolio, promotion, and pricing strategy for Yarnspirations.com website.
o Expand the Yarnspiration Commerce Platform to new integrations, including Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.
Retail.com
o Develop the channel framework for maximizing sales and margin at each retailer’s website (Drop Ship vs Retailer Ship vs Buy Online Pickup in-store)
o Consult Retailers for category growth initiatives by optimizing on-site user experience.
Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze account performance against target KPIs, report on account specific promotional plans, sales performance trends, competitive price positioning, forecasting etc.
  • Analyze controllable P&L inputs (where applicable), including price, shipping, promotion, advertising, maximize ROI.

Operations & Other

  • Oversee the launch of new products, manage product inventory, and manage product and project content across accounts.
  • Collaborate with Operations team and drive operational excellence in DSV (Drop Ship Vendor) setup and day to day operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High level of strategic agility and ability to develop and implement new strategies and business plans.
  • Strong knowledge of online retail eCommerce (SEO, conversion, forecast, shipping, product life cycle, inventory management)
  • Strong project planning and organizational skills with a high detail orientation.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and proactively, develop innovative ideas and solutions and implement new initiatives working with multiple business partners.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in utilizing data to derive fact-based recommendations/outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint Skills with the proven ability to tell a compelling story visually and verbally.
  • Natural love for selling, marketing, all things digital, D2C channels and an understanding of the craft business.
  • 6+ years of total work experience in e-commerce, sales and/or account management
  • 2-4 years of experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry, working in sales roles with retail customers.
  • 2-4 years of direct eCommerce experience in Retail eCommerce or marketplaces
  • 1-2 years working in eCommerce shipping physical products to consumers (DTC or Drop Shipping Experience)
  • Direct account management experience of online retailers (Walmart, Joann, or Michaels) is a plus
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Business/Commerce/Marketing.
