At Four Seasons, we are powered by people and our culture enables everything we do.Director, Talent Management and PerformanceThe Director, Talent Management and Performance is responsible for leading the Talent Management function at Four Seasons and building innovative programs, processes, and systems to develop, retain, and engage our talent. The role helps drive Four Seasons strategic business goals by ensuring our overall talent strategy, structures, tools, and implementation provide strong leadership pipeline and talent bench strength at all levels, with particular focus on critical roles.The Director, Talent Management and Performance will also develop performance management strategies, programs and processes to align individual goals with organizational objectives and to consistently assess our talent bench strength. They will implement data-driven approaches to measure and enhance human performance and identify organizational gaps in talent and/or capability to drive planning. This role will be central in our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging objectives by driving our diverse representation objectives, and evolving talent management systems and processes to enable diverse talent to accelerate their growth and reach their potential. Finally, this role will support our overall employee experience strategy by managing our global listening processes to collect employee feedback, analyzing employee sentiment data to identify trends, address pain points, and drive positive culture change, engagement, and wellbeing.What You’ll Be Doing:Talent Management Strategy & Infrastructure

  • In partnership with other P&C functions/COEs, implements sophisticated and innovative foundational talent management strategies that are relevant to our global workforce, aligning tools, technology and processes, and leveraging our global Leadership Framework and overall People Plan.
  • Leads the development of bespoke talent management processes and systems for all lines of business (i.e. Hotels & Resorts, Residential, Yacht, etc.) and/or specialized functions, aligning them to existing global processes and cycles.
  • Deploys full talent cycle globally (field and corporate) to all relevant stakeholders in a simple, clear, high-touch way that creates engagement and drives mindset and behaviour shifts.
  • Aligns strategic talent processes, systems, and conversations across regions and functional departments as well as across field and corporate, to ensure consistency of approach and a global view of strategic talent.
  • In partnership with Area VPs of P&C, oversees talent management touchpoints with DP&Cs to ensure team is continuously informed and equipped for a successful on-property talent management program.
  • In partnership with relevant COEs, leads relevant projects and change management connected to talent management, including communication, training, tools, and overall deployment.
  • Partners with Operations, P&C, Marketing, IT, and other departments to ensure cross-functional alignment for all project deployment related to talent management.

Talent Analytics & Performance

  • Develop and lead industry-leading performance management strategies, programs and processes to identify and assess talent consistently across the organization.
  • Work across relevant functional COEs to build and deploy programs and processes that align individual goal setting and assessment processes to our short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Leads our global listening processes including our global engagement pulses, analyzing employee sentiment data to identify trends, address pain points, and drive positive culture change, engagement and wellbeing.
  • In partnership with other data teams and aligned to organizational data strategies, build holistic P&C talent data approach to determine critical KPIs related to talent and People & Culture to assess performance of P&C initiatives and impact.
  • Collects and analyses talent data to identify trends for strategy and decision-making. Takes a holistic view of data, correlating trends against People, Product, and Profit to demonstrate impact of talent on business goals.

Talent Pipeline & Diverse Representation

  • Proactively determine talent needs across functions, geographies and lines of business to identify trends and opportunities in our talent pipeline.
  • Ensures talent management processes, including talent review, 9-box, and succession planning provide visibility and ongoing focus on high potential leaders to support accelerated growth for future pipeline.
  • Support P&C leadership team by supporting identification and growth of senior talent including providing data and reporting.
  • Lead work that ensures talent processes are equitable and eliminate bias and that accelerated development programs are in place to support equity deserving groups.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners that advance Four Seasons talent strategies on DIB and contribute to thought leadership, driving innovation in the space.
  • Assess the effectiveness of DIB efforts through quantitative talent metrics and analytics, balanced with qualitative listening and discussion, using these as a basis for informed decision making to advance strategy.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to enhance our internal mobility strategy, including but not limited to developing and delivering career pathing programs and internal opportunity marketing.
  • Partners with Learning & Development and Operational leadership to create bespoke career pathing to accelerate pipeline.

What You Bring:

  • CHRP designation or equivalent is an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree considered an asset.
  • 8+ years of experience in talent management, human resources, or related roles.
  • Expertise in talent management theory and practical application, talent mobility and strategy including extensive knowledge of talent programs and best practices.
  • Expertise in data and analysis including strong understanding of holistic KPI development.
  • Proven leadership in successful global Talent Management programs
  • Track record of designing, managing and scaling Talent Management programs such as performance management
  • HRIS experience preferred, Workday experience considered an asset.
  • Office 365 products, including Excel, Outlook, Teams and Sharepoint knowledge.
