This role will oversee a small team of content professionals dedicated to supporting direct sellers through the creation of compelling customer stories, high-value content assets, and pre-sales enablement tools. By effectively managing content governance, the Director will ensure consistency, quality, and brand compliance while identifying opportunities to enhance existing or develop new enablement tools. Additionally, they will foster collaboration across teams to streamline content activation and facilitate effective communication between Product and Solution Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the seller journeyLead and manage a team of content professionals responsible for creating compelling content, including customer stories and enablement toolsIdentify opportunities to enhance existing or develop new enablement tools, such as sales playbooks and competitive battlecardsEstablish and manage a content governance framework to ensure consistency, quality, and brand compliance, including specific guidelines for content creation, review, and approvalFoster collaboration across teams to streamline content activation and facilitate effective communication between Product and Solution Marketing, Sales, and Revenue OperationsProvide rich content to support the Equinix training organizationPartner with Revenue Operations to integrate solution content into marquee sales eventsPlan and execute a global content strategy for translation, updates, and localization, including specific processes for managing content updates and translationsTrack and report on key KPIs related to content and tool usage, leveraging content analytics tools and metricsBuild and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teamsCore CompetenciesStrategic Thinking: The ability to develop and execute a long-term vision for content strategy that aligns with overall business goalsLeadership: The capacity to lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality content while fostering a collaborative and supportive environmentContent Strategy: A deep understanding of content marketing principles and the ability to create and implement effective content strategiesProject Management: The skill to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levelsCross-Functional Collaboration: The ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with teams across different departmentsAnalytical Thinking: The capacity to analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of content initiatives and make data-driven decisionsSpecific SkillsContent Strategy Development: Experience in creating and implementing content strategies aligned with business goalsContent Governance: Knowledge of content governance frameworks and ability to establish and maintain content standardsContent Creation: Experience in creating various types of content, including customer stories, pitch decks, and competitive battlecardsEnablement Tool Development: Proficiency in creating and managing enablement tools to support sales and marketing teamsProcess Improvement: Experience in developing and implementing efficient workflows and processesPresentation Skills: Ability to communicate complex information effectively to senior leadershipData Analysis: Experience with content analytics tools and metrics to measure content performance and optimize strategiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum 10 years of experience in content marketing, sales enablement, or a related fieldEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
