About the Role:The Director of Business Development connects strategy, operations, client needs, and product marketing to launch new food products and manage the sales pipeline for product and service offerings. The Director ensures successful business growth by managing sales plans for cross-functional teams to execute.Key Deliverables for Role:

  • Sell branded packaged products to food service customers
  • Secure product listings with distributors
  • Manage catering sales pipeline
  • Work with team to develop innovative food products for catering and product sales
  • Identify funding opportunities and oversee all grant and subsidy applications/ approved projects
  • Generate go-to-market plans for new products and services and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful launches.
  • Track performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Lead a dynamic team and foster a collaborative, innovative environment.

About YouMust-haves

  • Strategic thinker with 8+ years experience in food or beverage industry, eg: CPG, Food service packaged goods, preferably in a sales, business development or commercialization
  • Undergraduate university degree
  • Experience with food product development
  • Track record of listing food products with distributors and/or retailers
  • Experience with CRMs and sales pipeline management
  • Knowledge or grant and subsidy environment in Canada
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence people
  • Proven ability to remove barriers and resolve conflicts across functions, teams, and the organization to build consensus.
  • Google Apps & MS-Office skills
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License
  • Natural alignment with RFRK food values and mission
