Job Description: Company: Finning International Inc.Number of Openings: 1Worker Type: PermanentPosition Overview: The visual merchandising specialist will play a crucial role in bringing our used equipment products to market on our digital platforms. This person will work closely and cross-functionally with other global teams such as sales, product and marketing to ensure that all used equipment products are listed and merchandized correctly.This role will have day-to-day responsibilities for the management of our global product listings within our (product information management) PIM, working closely with the operational teams in all regions to hit yearly revenue targets per category. Additionally, this role will work with the global marketing teams to execute online campaigns/promotions and produce reports on the performance of each.The total annual compensation for this position is between $75,000-$110,000. This range reflects our commitment to providing competitive compensation that aligns with industry standards and your qualifications.Please note that the actual salary offer will be based on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, and fit for the role.   • Own the end-to-end process of listing management within the product inventory management (PIM) tool, working with and on behalf of the global used equipment teams.
  • Working with internal and external inspectors to plan and execute inspections that ensure high-quality listing information is available for each asset.
  • Keep listings accurate and up to date, managing product information, and working with other teams to ensure consistency.
  • Coordinate with global used equipment teams to ensure that the PIM accurately reflects inventory levels and pricing.
  • Design and set up conversion rate optimized page displays per category to ensure that the most compelling products are merchandized correctly to users.
  • Ensure displays are visually appealing and effectively showcase products to maximize customer engagement.
  • Work with marketing teams to ensure the website’s content is updated regularly to reflect the latest campaigns and promotions.
  • Own the set up of online product merchandising for all auction/timed events.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of merchandising efforts and make data-driven decisions.
  • Adjust product displays and layouts based on sales performance and customer feedback.
  • Develop and evolve reporting dashboards to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.)
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure that visual merchandising aligns with and enhances the customer experience during paid keyword campaigns, ensuring seamless and engaging user journeys from ad clicks to product purchases.
  • Collaborate with the testing and optimization team to run A/B tests to optimize online performance.
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing teams to increase online leads across all lines of business to achieve metrics.

Education & Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Business, Communications, or a related discipline, complemented by industry-standard certifications.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in online product merchandising management, with a proven track record of leading online growth.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing external vendors and cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Clear concise written, verbal, communication skills that are professional, timely and accurate.
  • Marketing instincts and creative energy.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in all aspects of MS Office applications with an emphasis in Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Familiar with web basic SEO and SEM principles.
  • Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, AdWords).
  • Basic knowledge of email marketing.
  • Ability to think through different customer journeys.
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction equipment industry and the ability to translate product understanding into compelling merchandising initiatives.
