Job Description: Job Description:Our client, an industry leader in educational technology software solutions, is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join their collaborative team. The successful candidate will work closely with the software development team, focusing on cloud infrastructure, and adhering to best DevOps practices.Note: This position requires the successful candidate to work on-site in Edmonton Alberta.Job Summary:As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll leverage your knowledge of Azure, .NET, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and other technologies to automate and optimize our cloud infrastructure. You’ll play a pivotal role in streamlining their software development processes and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and the application network.Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, design, and implement the Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies for managing and provisioning the cloud infrastructure, with a focus on automation tooling like Terraform.
• Implement and execute continuous integration/deployment processes using Azure Pipelines.
• Maintain rigorous security and compliance standards for the cloud infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve any infrastructure and network issues.
• Train team members in the best practices and current trends in the DevOps community.
• Use version control system, Git, for tracking changes in software development projects.
• Run system tests for security, performance, and availability.
• Develop comprehensive design and troubleshooting documentation.

Requirements:

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in IT Software

• Proficiency in using Ansible for configuration management and application deployment

• Demonstrated experience in Agile Scrum methodologies

• Proven ability to implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)

• Familiarity with Cluster Analysis and its application in system optimizations

• Strong knowledge of Configuration Management and its practical applications in a software development setting

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and efficiency

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team

• Ability to adapt to changing technology trends and keenness to continuously upgrade skills.Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Expertise in Azure, .NET Stack, IaC methodologies, particularly with Terraform.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools, Azure Pipelines.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python.
• Good understanding of version control system, Git.
• Wide-ranging experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring.
• Familiarity with Agile project methodologies and workflows.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and efficient communication abilities.
