Job Description: Job Description:The Development Coordinator provides administrative and technical support to the real estate team for existing, developing and new commercial, retail, residential and industrial real estate projects, assisting in implementing project controls for budget, schedule and quality for ATCO’s real estate portfolio.Always there. - Assist in drafting project proposals to source and procure third party consultants, such as engineers, planners and architects as required
- Participate and assist with all stages of project design development, construction and operational commissioning activities associated with land development or capital projects, as required
- Assist in setting up project files and checklists and ensure documents are organized, accurate and kept up to date
- Assist in the coordination, planning, scheduling of logistics associated with the management of land development projects
- Maintain, track and monitor project plans, budgets, schedules, quality, safety and other project documentation throughout the length of the project
- Communicate project health and performance, flagging any constraints or issues impacting the project to the Development Manager
- Assist with tenant coordination for build to suit, spec, land lease and sale projects
- Assist with due diligence work, research of zoning and property information as required
- Assist in the preparation of the three-year capital and O&M budgets for properties
- Assist with purchase order requisitions, cheque requisitions, invoice reviews and recommendation for third party billings
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree, College or technical diploma in real estate development, architectural, urban planning or civil engineering
- Background in real estate development, urban planning or construction industries with a minimum of 3- 5 years related work experience
- Understanding of real estate development process
- Project Management Certification preferred
- Knowledge of municipal review and approval process
- Ability to read and understand architectural, landscape and civil drawings
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Advanced computer literacy in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
