Job Description: Job Description:We are offering a long term contract and part-time employment opportunity in the IT industry, located in Ottawa (Nepean), Ontario, Canada. The role is for a Desktop Support Analyst who will be an integral part of our regional IT support team, providing vital assistance to our company users. This role involves a combination of duties including troubleshooting hardware and software problems, managing incidents and service requests, and maintaining local IT infrastructure services.Responsibilities:

  • Engage with local users to provide day-to-day IT support, including handling chats and processing requests/tickets.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems to ensure smooth operation.
  • Dispatch requests/tickets to the appropriate Service Desk and liaise with 2nd and 3rd level support teams.
  • Take part in problem management and knowledge management to improve overall service delivery.
  • Assist with the replacement of hardware and the installation of new software on client PCs.
  • Manage local IT infrastructure services, including the maintenance of physical infrastructure, telephony services, and conference rooms.
  • Monitor and manage customer credit applications, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Keep an accurate record of customer credit details and update information as necessary.
  • Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

The role requires a high focus on local end-user satisfaction and a strong understanding of various technical areas including Windows 10, network components, Office365, PC build, and mobile devices (iOS). Proficiency in MS Office 365, MS Windows 10, and PC Desktop – Workstation is essential.Requirements:

  • Must possess at least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 is essential
  • Sound knowledge of MS Windows 10 is required
  • Familiarity with PC Desktop – Workstation will be an advantage
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work part-time hours, with flexibility for occasional additional hours if needed
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and user support
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
