Job Description: Job Title: Data Analyst (Power BI Developer)Job DescriptionThe Data Analyst (Power BI Developer) is responsible for developing and maintaining critical business intelligence metrics in support of the National Shipbuilding Strategy and the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy vessel construction projects that is underway in our clients facility. This position focuses on maximizing the accessibility of and business value derived from key organizational data. This includes both development of new analytics and support of analytics users throughout the business as well as the development of innovative new methods of collecting, analyzing, presenting, or actioning data.Hard Skills

• Well-developed understanding of database structure, business object models, and large-scale data processing techniques
• Significant experience with Microsoft Power Query, M, DAX & SQL
• Proven experience working with data and databases, including working experience with programming languages and business intelligence tools such as SQL and Power BI
• Familiarity and understanding of KPI analysis, performance measurement, financial systems, and project scheduling/controls systems
• Demonstrated data analytic skills including proven ability to merge multiple data sources into meaningful information
• Experience with Azure Analytics Services, including Azure Analysis Services, is an asset
• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate (Flow) is an asset

• Strong technical communication ability, including the ability to clearly and concisely document and communicate complex data structures and processes

• Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Well-developed organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize a variety of work assignments
