Click here: –Within the Ministry of Children’s Services there are four “Provincial Campus Based Care” (PCBC) that provide 24-7 campus-based care to adolescents with significant trauma-related issues. Programs include both Intensive Treatment and Secure Services in the following facilities:Yellowhead Youth Center – “Provincial Campus Based Care” (PCBC)Role ResponsibilitiesDo you have a vision of building strong communities where children and youth are valued, nurtured, and cared for?As a Team Lead your responsibilities includes:
- Be responsible for the overall implementation, coordination, and supervision of treatment plans to ensure that the treatment, counselling and life skills development of the adolescents in care at the Yellowhead Youth Centre are being met.
- Directly supervise 2-3 Child & Youth Care Worker 1C’s and be able to lead them in a collaborative environment to deliver effective interventions in a therapeutic milieu designed to meet safety and security requirements.
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of policies, procedures and practices related to intensive campus-based treatment and the ability to effectively implement daily operations that maintain the Centre’s accreditation status.
To be successful in this position, you must demonstrate strong leadership and critical thinking skills. You will have related theoretical knowledge of child care practice; assessment, treatment and behavioral management, as well you will draw upon yourexceptional written and verbal communication skills to be effective relationships with others.This position requires a candidate who is available to work on shift schedule of three evening shifts, three Day shifts and three days off, which includes weekends.Please click on this to view the job description for this position.QualificationsRequirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Care is preferred. Other related Human Services degrees or diplomas may be considered.
- A minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in a campus-based care setting is required.
- Current first aid certificate, suicide intervention training and/or experience working with Indigenous youth and families are also considered assets.

- Related experience in therapeutic campus-based care setting, working with indigenous populations, working in youth homes, teacher, educational assistant, crisis intervention, family counselling, youth counselling, youth correction work, childcare program development (Teacher, Educational Assistant, Psychologist) and behavioral therapy.
- Current Certification in First Aid with CPR and Suicide Intervention
