As a compelling storyteller, they should relish the opportunity to engage with alumnae and share the rich history and culture of giving at Crofton House School.The Manager of Alumnae Relations should bring professionalism and strong stewardship skills, demonstrate an ability to critically analyze opportunities, work independently towards a long-term vision, and desire to collaborate with the rest of the team and the wider Crofton community.Responsibilities:The Manager of Alumnae Relations reports to the Director of Advancement. Their primary responsibilities include, but are not restricted to the following:

  • Developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive Alumnae Program for Crofton House School.
  • Developing strategies to engage meaningfully with over 4,500 alumnae through events, reunions, and special volunteering opportunities.
  • Increasing alumnae participation in the school’s fundraising initiatives.
  • Implementing a robust communication and marketing plan to support the CHS Alumnae Program.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Advancement and members of the School and the Advancement team to enhance alumnae engagement, cultivation, and stewardship.
  • Overseeing and working closely with the Alumnae Relations Advancement Coordinator to develop a comprehensive action plan to promote awareness among Senior School students.
  • Personally soliciting and stewarding alumnae.
  • Contributing content to Advancement publications and social media platforms, particularly the alumnae newsletter 1898.
  • Developing and implementing a student philanthropy program aimed at creating class funds.
  • Attending on-campus and off-campus events as appropriate.
  • Additionally, the Manager of Alumnae Relations will supervise and evaluate the Alumnae Relations Advancement Coordinator.
  • They will also perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Advancement.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma from a recognized institute.
  • A minimum of 2 years of alumnae relations experience.
  • Significant experience in successfully building and executing alumnae programs.
  • Strong understanding and adherence to fundraising ethics and practices.
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment and closely with colleagues, alumnae, and parents.
  • Knowledge and experience in building strong and meaningful donor relations.
  • Solid understanding of the fundraising cycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to inspire trust and confidence.
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, flexible, creative, and reflective, especially when facing challenges.
  • Proven commitment to ongoing professional learning.
  • Experience in managing and supporting the development of staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of independent school culture is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge.
