Job Description: YOUR ROLEAre you passionate about logistics? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to develop your skills as a Coordinator- Ocean Carriers Allocation Management (TPC), to monitor and maximize the utilization of our various space allocation agreements with ocean carriers to support our business growth and company strategy, in coordination with global sea freight teams. This role could be based out of Montreal or Toronto.WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Manage regional/country bookings (Virtual Carrier and update and maintenance of l’OPTIM).
- Manage the allocations on TPEB Trade Lanes, according to the agreements negotiated by MO procurement with shipping companies for all FAK/NVOCC/NAC BASKET contracts.
- Develop and maintain allocation cards using the DMP OPTIM tool.
- Reference updated list of ocean freight contracts and space allocation as provided by the Supervisor
- Coordinate with all relevant parties to ensure space agreements with ocean carriers are properly communicated and allocated.
- Establish a close contract with management for carrier allocations
- Use proper tools defined to monitor a daily fulfillment of allocation vs bookings.
- Coordinate with sales team and controlling office, define a proper allocation list to support our business growth.
- Coordinate with the sales team and the network to define levels of loading priority.
- Escalate to Supervisor in case of loading dispute and when arbitrage is needed.
- Support offices and controlling office to communicate with ocean carriers, if allocation is not honored
- Conduct regular meetings with TPC Supervisor.
- Develop and work under a SOP in a lean & streamlined process.
- Market intelligence collection and sharing.
- Make daily report available to share our daily fulfillments with all key stakeholders
- Any other tasks related to space allocation management, provided by Supervisor
