(employee will be working with or have access to children or vulnerable adults and requires a Criminal Record Check)NoJob DescriptionIn accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.Reporting to their responsible Manager or designate, the Coordinator, Device Integration ensures the successful delivery of all facets of the Device Integration Service. The Coordinator provides day to day direction to a team of Device Integration Analysts.The Coordinator is responsible for the Device Integration team who utilizes considerable knowledge of end user computing technologies, Island Health departmental standards and services delivered by partner organizations, to support a variety of internal and external users throughout the Island Health region. Primarily focused on Island Health specific clinical and business architectures and bridging between clinical users, Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and other support organizations to maximize user adoption and provide a seamless service to IM/IT clients. The Coordinator oversees the team who acts as user advocates by collecting and communicating technical/clinical requirements to partner organizations and in-house technology projects and works closely with Clinical Informatics, technical teams and vendors to develop new technology services, promote and improve technical uptake.The Coordinator is responsible to ensure all Island Health computer devices and peripherals are highly available, external support vendors are meeting their contractual obligations and that a high level of user uptake is maintained. The Coordinator analyses requests, creates plans, prepares budgets and makes recommendations regarding Device Integration services and processes.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceA level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized program in Computer Science, and five (5) years’ recent, related experience providing support services for a large organization. Experience working in a clinical setting and an understanding of clinical workflows. Project management training and ITIL certification is desirable.Skills And Abilities
