As a Production Support Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring production delivery and ongoing operations of applications and infrastructure in production; while ensuring adherence to operational standards and business requirements. You will investigate issues that arise for clients and business, working to determine RCA and assist development as needed to fix the issues. This position requires on-call support 24/7/365 for critical issues. You will handle incident and problem management, ensure proper communication and notifications with all stakeholders.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How you’ll succeedDesign and development – Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Help to design the application’s technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.Strategic planning – Help to Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals. Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.Leadership skills – Act as the SME for the applications that you will be championing and run code-review/incident review sessions with the wider team to ensure knowledge is shared. Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.Who you areYou embrace and advocate change.
