Location: Revelstoke, BC

Job Description: We are looking for a JUNIOR ESTIMATOR to join our team in Revelstoke! An ideal opportunity for someone who wishes to pursue a career in estimating and construction.This is an on-site temporary role, with the opportunity to shift into other positions, with a rate of $28-$30 per hour.Job Description:Working closely with our Senior Estimator in assembling accurate bidding, tendering, and assisting the pre-construction phases of our contracts. Including but not limited to;Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
Develop and maintain tendering process, price schedules, and bid proposals.
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Manage and coordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.The ideal candidate will have the following:High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in related field, or combination of experience and education
Construction experience is an asset, either in mechanical/civil construction estimating or hands-on trades work in areas such as: carpentry, painting, restoration, concrete work, etc.
Proficiency in project budget development and financial management within the construction industry context.
Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project) and knowledge in the use of estimation programs/software
Professional, approachable and customer-service oriented
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
History of working independently without close supervision.
