Title of the Job: Competitve Intelligence Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description: The Competitive Intelligence Engineer is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting detailed competitive intelligence on Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) technology products and services. This role requires a deep understanding of the technical aspects of an identity product, the ability to evaluate and compare competitive offerings.We are looking for:
1. Decent understanding in customer and workforce identity space. Awareness of key players.
2. Strong market research, quantitative, and analytical skills.
3. Experience in delivering technical workshops or content to technical sales audiences, including to Sales/GTM leadership.
4. Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs
5. Experience in SaaS software within the Identity and/or Security industriesSkills:
What you will do:Perform in-depth capability analysis of Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) products leveraging publicly available information information on public websites, magazine and newspaper articles, radio or other media interviews, events open to the general public, publicly available annual reports, and interviews with end-users of competitors’ products or services (provided they are free to do so without contractual restriction) in the following order
Microsoft Entra ID Protection
Microsoft Defender for Identity, XDR
Palo Alto Network Cortex XSIAM/XDR
Cisco OORT
Crowdstrike Falcon Identity Threat Detection/Protection
Document the findings in the form of competitive battlecards, playbooks, SWOT analysis, etc.
