Your expertise in business analysis, commodity trading, logistics, and risk management will be critical in aligning business needs with technological solutions.In this role, you will act as the key liaison between business collaborators and solution development teams, translating complex requirements into clear, actionable system specifications. Your in-depth knowledge of commodities trading, and logistics will ensure our solutions meet evolving business demands.Additionally, you will provide essential operational support by handling trading and logistics data, ensuring accurate and timely risk management reporting. You will take the lead in streamlining business processes, identifying optimization opportunities, and standardizing practices for greater efficiency. Your role will also involve developing commercial strategies, defining team goals, and establishing KPIs to drive profitability.As a central resource, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive user documentation, generating operational reports, and supporting team training initiatives. By sharing standard processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you will help strengthen the team’s capabilities and contribute to long-term development initiatives. This role offers significant growth potential, with opportunities to broaden your expertise across various commodities and shape the strategic direction of the team.What you’ll do:Actively participate in workshops to help define functional requirements and translate them into specifications for optimal logistics solutionsGather solution requirements to develop test cases and user stories, ensuring traceability throughout the processCollaborate with multi-functional teams using HPQC and MS Teams to document testing activities, track defects, and drive efficient resolutionAssist in automating processes to promote standardization, efficiency, and scalability.Evaluate business and system processes, as well as data flows, to find opportunities for improvement and optimizationAccurately document and maintain business and system processes, ensuring workflows are clear and up-to-dateSupport the creation of sustainable operational reporting, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy and governanceDevelop and maintain comprehensive user guides and training materials for UAT and post release phasesAssist in the timely and accurate entry and actualization of inventory movements within the Right Angle ETRM system, as neededSupport system enhancements based on user feedback, development requirements, and application upgradesDevelop strategies for multi-functional collaboration and asset utilization to drive business process improvements and solutionsApply an in-depth understanding of ETRM for all commodities, aligning business requirements with daily operations and reporting needsWho you are:Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:Legally authorized to work in CanadaBachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related fieldPrior experience working on large scale ETRM/SAP system implementation projects with cross-functional business and development partners is desirable12+ years working as a business or scheduling analyst or equivalent with experience working in and supporting commercial commodities including process documentationUnderstanding of Canadian and US refined products and NGL transaction lifecycle with an emphasis on trades, nominations and scheduling, inventory, and risk managementKnowledge of energy trading and risk management processes across front, middle, and back-office groups at a trading organization operating under an exposure and P&L environmentKnowledge of Canadian and US refined products pipeline, rail, and truck modes of transportExpertise with ETRM systems (most recent Right Angle version is highly preferred)Knowledge of SAP functionalityExperience in the agile software delivery model involving continuous collaborationConfiguration experience in ETRM/CTRM is highly desirable along with HPQC or JIRA in managing defectsGood ability to analyze complex information and details, and present findings in a clear concise format. Consistent record of tracking and resolving system defects to support a timely release.
