Were always looking for new opportunities to create value and find better and safer ways of working.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Chief Stationary Engineer to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.The position will be based in our Sudbury OperationsThis is a Permanent position.Duties and Accountabilities:Reporting to the Maintenance General Foreman, the Chief Stationary Engineer / Utilities Supervisor is accountable for the maintenance of heat systems, compressed air, natural gas equipment and propane, fire protection equipment, process and potable water supplies, service equipment and in order that production schedules can be met, and essential services are provided to the workforce and residents, in keeping with health, safety and environmental requirements.About YouMust have a good understanding of the following:Operating Engineer / Utilities Supervisors ActBoiler and Pressure Vessels RegulationsPlumbing RegulationsFuel Safety RegulationsFire CodeElevating Devices RegulationsEducationThe incumbent requires the completion of a 2nd Class Stationary Engineer certificate (valid in Ontario) and a minimum of 3 years of recent, relevant experience.SkillsThe incumbent must possess effective leadership abilities and great communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate a variety of functions simultaneously.
