They will design and perform experiments (with input from supervisor) to support internal research and product development projects.This position is part of the Cytiva Nanomedicine R&D team located in Vancouver, B.C. and will be on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.What you will do:Support the development of novel lipid nanoparticles by evaluating biological activity within cell-based assays.Assist in the routine care and maintenance of various cell culture systems.Perform routine validation studies and development of new cell-based assays.Prepare experimental plans, reports and technical presentations.Who you are:Currently enrolled in a BSc program in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Applied Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Nano- or Bio-Engineering or a related Life Sciences program.Experience in a laboratory environment and completion of at least one previous co-op assignment.Experience with cell culture techniques and cell-based assaysIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Experience with primary cells and nucleic acidsExperience with cell and molecular biology techniques such as flow cytometry, western blot and ELISAThe annual salary range for this role is 40k-50k CAD/year This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
