Length: 6 months contract with the possibility of extension
Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid) – 2 days in office and 3 days working from home

DEPARTMENT BACKGROUND:
Property Acquisitions (MPA) has a mandate to acquire approximately 3,000 required property interests by the contractual delivery date prior to commencement of construction for various capital projects within the Expansion, Transit, and Subways Programs. The PAAT team within MPA has a critical role that supports all acquisitions undertaken, including processing Unifier property requisition forms and providing financial and KPI reporting on property requirements. As part of a larger CPG initiative to improve system integration (Unifier, Oracle EBS and EcoSys), MPA requires additional staff to support improvements to Unifier (automation of EAC and a properties data warehouse).ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
Develop and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights into business performance and trends
Utilize advanced features of Power BI, Power Pivot to create interactive visualizations and custom data models tailored to specific business needs
Integrate the property transactions data from various sources, transforming and cleaning it to ensure high-quality, accurate reporting in EAC (Estimate at Completion)
Formulate Business Process Requirement Document; Prepare technical user guides and business process documentation for the project lifecycle
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including full budgeting, modeling, forecasting, and accruals management, to support strategic decision-making and budgetary control
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and ad-hoc analysis for executive leadership and other stakeholders
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate risks and recommend solutions to improve processes and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization
Act as a subject matter expert on data visualization best practices, providing guidance and training to team members as neededQualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on data mapping, data validation, data visualization, data modeling, and financial analysis
Proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex dashboards and reports
Solid understanding of financial principles and practices, including full cost budgeting, forecasting, and accruals management
Knowledge of database concepts, database management software and tools including Power BI and MS Office Excel (Pivot tables, Power Pivot, formulas, VBA) and experience in using systems and applications, such as Oracle Unifier, Ecosys, MS Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint or similar
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
