Title of the Job: Business Development Manager

They have been recognized as the Best Employer in Canada for over 23 years.We are looking for a candidate with deep knowledge of Edmonton’s business sectors, skilled in executing sales strategies and managing client experience initiatives. The role includes identifying leads, developing client pursuit strategies, and co-selling at events and networking functions, with support from the national Business Development team.Responsibilities:

• Support Edmonton team with business development, including identifying market opportunities.
• Enhance national promotion of Edmonton’s capabilities to clients, facilitating integration into industry teams and key client groups.
• Build local brand awareness through client seminars, events, memberships, sponsorships, and media opportunities.
• Collaborate with the national Proposals & Pursuits team on developing marketing materials.
• Represent the organization in local business activities, providing insights and contacts.
• Maintain client information in the firm’s CRM.
• Assist with initiatives to drive collaboration, growth, and retention.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, PR, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business, marketing, or sales, ideally in professional services (law firm experience is a strong asset).
• Deep understanding of Edmonton’s business community and the Northern Alberta region.
• Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
• High level of client service and diplomacy.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to quickly learn new software like CRM or project management tools.
