Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of Island Health in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceA level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline such as health information sciences, business administration, or learning technologies, with 5 years’ recent related experience working within a health care or related systems environment in an analytical capacity.Valid BC Driver’s license.Skills And Abilities

• Strong analytical skills including the ability to find, collect, and analyze and interpret data, use basic statistical concepts and prepare written reports.
• Solid understanding of Project Management Methodology.
• Three years of experience working in projects.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment with a variety of disciplines, to maintain and foster good working relationships including tact and diplomacy in dealing with a variety of work situations, and all levels of the organization.
• Strong computer skills and extensive knowledge/ proficiency with the following applications:

• MS Office (word, excel, outlooks, power point, publisher)
• Web publishing software
• SharePoint
• Visio
• Database applications
• Comfortable working with minimal direction.
• Proven consistent ability to keep up with new technologies as they are introduced to the workplace.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of systems analysis and design techniques.
• Well-developed listening skills and recording skills.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Link to Full Job DescriptionAdditional information for applicantsThe Analyst will assist in the ongoing effort in optimizing various billing processes. They will also support the ongoing effort to lay out the foundation to streamline contract dashboards and analytics solutions to meet the growing need for transparency and efficiency, in managing the various contracts within the Medical Staff Contracts department. They will actively participate in the creation, maintenance and data mining of reports and dashboard related to Medical Staff Contracts for Island Health and provincial stakeholders. They will perform data analysis, prepares and submits statistical reports and promotes the use of best practices in data management and data quality. Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to use advanced computerized databases including SQL Server, and reports/dashboard building tools such as PowerBI will be important.
