Job Description: Job Description:For this Bookkeeper opening, Robert Half is partnered with a manufacturing firm located in Vaughan, Ontario. The role revolves around maintaining financial records, processing payments, and handling various bookkeeping and accounting tasks.Responsibilities:
- Facilitate biweekly payroll operations ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Prepare and track journal entries for maintaining accurate financial records
- Process invoices and payments in a timely manner
- Manage EFT/ACH and wire payments to ensure smooth transactions
- Prepare monthly visa expense reports for company-wide visibility of expenses
- Handle monthly HST filing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and transparency
- Oversee WSIB filing, ensuring adherence to workplace safety and insurance regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation.
- Experience in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Familiarity with bank reconciliations.
- Demonstrable bookkeeping skills.
- Proficient in data entry tasks.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in month end close.
- Payroll management skills are essential.
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
