Seize the opportunity: take your next step with us and join our team.Billing Supervisor (Full-Time) – St. Laurent, QCPrimary Duties:Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Billing Supervisor is an integral part of the Accounts Receivable, National Finance and Scheduling (OTC) teams.The incumbent will be responsible for leading a regional billing team while implementing world-class service, maintaining documentation accuracy, overseeing daily activities and contributing to key metrics, objectives and results in accordance with Linde Canada policies and procedures.
This position requires a bilingual (French, oral and written), detail-oriented individual with previous experience leading a billing team, as well as a mix of analytical skills, systems proficiency, business acumen and the ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and strategic partners.Key Responsibilities:

  • Train, mentor and integrate new employees, particularly in relation to new initiatives;
  • Participate in projects or initiatives (or act as subject matter expert);
  • Maintain and review team performance dashboard using pre-defined KPIs, including but not limited to providing formal and informal feedback to ensure continuous development;
  • Work with stakeholders to recommend and implement solutions to improve productivity and customer experience, ensure data integrity, and maintain/improve governance and controls;
  • Support and back up the team;
  • Identify and report potential risks or issues;
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships;
  • Support team in conflict resolution;
  • Review and perform reconciliations and investigations;
  • Participate in internal and external audits;
  • Contribute decisively to the monthly closing process and ensure that deadlines are met;
  • Ensure that all process and SOP documents are accurate, up-to-date and adhered to by the team.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Education:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree with a focus in finance, accounting, business or related discipline.

Experience:

  • More than five (5) years of experience in the billing field, including more than two (2) years in a supervisory role of a billing team;
  • Experience using or working knowledge of a major enterprise resource planning system (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle).

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken) – required;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Understanding of financial accounting as it relates to billing, collections and accounts receivable;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Creative problem solving, strategy, strong analytical skills and innovative spirit;
  • Strong relationship building and customer service skills, with the ability to solve problems the first time;
  • You have initiative and excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment;
  • Spirit of continuous improvement to support best processes;
  • Ability to remain strong under pressure and provide logical solutions;
  • You must be reliable and responsible (diligent and punctual).
