We have the privilege of partnering with a prestigious labour organization to source a Bilingual Labour Relations Officer.Duties include but are not limited to:

• Work in collaboration with a small team to provide members with front-line labour relations advice and interpretation of the collective agreement
• Represent members both informally and formally before employer officials, including in disciplinary meetings, complaints, grievances, and mediations
• Conduct research, draft documents (including informational tools for members and pleadings), and make oral or written submissions
• Review employer directives, policies, and processes. You will also attend employer-related meetings as needed

About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:

• Post secondary education in Law, Industrial Relations or related field
• A minimum of three years in a Labour Relations role, including interpretation and application of a collective agreement
• Demonstrated experience providing advice on employment rights and responsibilities
• Experience in representation. advocacy or dispute resolution
• Knowledge of employment law, the Canada Labour Code, Employment Equity legislation
• The ability to work seamlessly in both official languages (English/French)
